Mini Countryman följer marknadstrenden med allt fler högbyggda crossover- och suvmodeller. Givetvis måste även Mini erbjuda en sådan och det blev Countryman.
Men man kan inte säga att Countryman är speciellt mycket ”mini” längre, vilket den också fått kritik för. Men detta till trots har Countryman attraherat nya kunder och blivit Minis näst mest sålda modell i Sverige.
Mini Countryman finns i liknande versioner som vanliga Mini, med bensin- och dieselmotorer samt även fyrhjulsdrift (ALL4).
Countryman är 4,1 meter lång och 1,6 meter hög. Andra generationen Countryman kom 2017 och växte då till 4,3 meter i längd.
Tredje generationen Mini Countryman tillverkas även som elbil, E och SE ALL4, leveranserna började våren 2024. Båda modellerna har 65 kWh batteri och räckvidd på som mest 45 mil.
Mini Countryman är den första modellen som helt byggs i Tyskland, i BMW:s fabrik i Leipzig.
